When we first started building theme projects it didn’t take long for word to spread. Our first really big project was back in 1987. We designed and built a huge entrance arch, which had to be fabricated in just over 30 days. Another company built the structural steel, then we set to work.

We invented it as we went along for this was our first project of this type and we didn’t know who to ask for advice. We worked incredibly long hours, welding, fabricating. wiring and troweling on the concrete. Then we painted it to look old and weathered. Amazingly we met the impossible deadline, and even had time to mow the freshly planted sod and water the new shrubs before the dignitaries arrived.

I was sold on the method of sculpting concrete over a welded steel structure. After this project I knew anything I could imagine was suddenly possible!. This was but the start of some very exciting and much larger projects to come!
