Well, on Saturday, June 6th, we’re throwing wide the gates for the grand opening of our Copper Crown Suite — and you’re officially on the royal guest list!

Whether you’re scouting for your next romantic escape, you have a thing for whimsical architecture, or you’ve been dying to discover the hidden entrance to the Copper Crown’s reading nook, come and see the handcrafted magic up close.

You won’t have to battle your way past a dragon — just bring your curiosity.

KRAAY brand tire

We can finally get a good look at the giant tire horse now that we have pulled it out of the shop. It will soon be bound for Kraays Family Farm in Lacombe, Alberta. To get an idea of the scale of this beast, once the head and tail are mounted on the gigantic tire (on site), it will measure about fourteen and a half feet tall. It will be an awesome spot to grab a selfie!

The Copper Crown Suite of the Hazelnut Inn is receiving the final details in preparation for the grand opening on June 6th. The curtains are now in place, and the decorative cloth trims are being installed. Final cleaning is underway, and the cupboards are being stocked. Today, two of the royal banners were hung, with two more to follow tomorrow. As soon as the staging is done, I’ll sneak in for a bunch of photos to post here. Stay tuned…
