While all the painting of the Vala’s pirate features was going on, our ShopSabre CNC router was busy in the back room, whittling some 3D shields for the Copper Crown Suite of the Hazelnut Inn. These three shields will be mounted on the long kitchen/dining room wall. They will look really great when they are all painted up. Stay tuned…
Mermaid based out
Over the weekend, I managed to apply primer and two base coats of paint to the mermaid feature. This week, we’ll apply a final blend coat and then the final details and glazes. This piece has come a long way in the last week, and in the next week, it will be finished and ready to send down the road to Nebraska. Stay tuned…
More base coats of paint
I spent three hours in the shop this afternoon laying the base coats of paint onto the mermaid feature and hole markers for the pirate-themed mini golf bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska. Tomorrow I’ll add another coat to keep us on track for completion and loading them onto the truck next Friday afternoon. Stay tuned as we work towards the completion…
