It was yet another landmark day. The last of the wallboards was fastened into place in the Copper Crown, and right behind them, a crew member was stapling on the diamond lath to prepare the kitchen/dining nook and secret room for sculpting. In the great room, painters were busy adding paint and glazes to the hand-sculpted rock work. The Copper Crown castle suite looks more finished every workday. Stay tuned…
Ready for light up
Our friends, the BNR electricians, are busy in the Copper Crown pulling the wires through the conduits in preparation for the final finishing of the Copper Crown Suite. They are making great progress. In the shop, we are also working on what will be needed once the sculpting and painting are complete. The candlestick light fixtures are just about ready to fasten to the walls. Stay tuned…
Day two of sculpting the skull
It was day two of the sculpting process, and we made great time. Grant’s job was to keep me supplied with mixed sculpting epoxy, and he got a good workout. The first job was to apply a first coat of epoxy to the double-sided three-cornered hat. Then it was on to the reverse side of the skull. A little dramatic lighting made for a great picture. It won’t be long until this project is ready for paint. Stay tuned…
