The goal in the coming weeks is to do as much work as possible on the scaffold on the upper reaches of the Copper Crown suite. Once we complete the painting, we will remove the scaffold at long last and then lift the giant chandelier into place. The vaulted ceiling is already looking amazing! It is light and airy, yet imposing as a castle should be. It won’t be long until we are hanging banners and moving in the furniture. Stay tuned…
Light 'er up!
I spent yesterday wiring and welding up the armatures. Before we began the sculpting, I tested the wiring to make sure everything worked. We worked for about an hour, in the late afternoon, layering some sculpting epoxy onto the candle armatures. We managed to complete nine of the thirteen candles. On Monday, we should be able to have this piece ready for paint. This chandelier is going to look right at home in the grand room of the Copper Crown.

Each workday the sculpting crew are a little closer to the floor. The main room of the Copper Crown is absolutely spectacular and superbly detailed from every angle. Once the draperies, banners and other details are added it is going to be fit for royalty without a doubt. Imagine staying in this space with your significant other. It will be possible soon…
