After a six-year absence, I decided to attend the International Sign Association EXPO in Las Vegas this year. It was past time to reaffirm our valuable connections in the industry. Our good friends from Colorado were launching the all-new IBEX routing software at the show and had honoured us with an invitation to assist them. I also spent some time in the booth of our decades-long suppliers and friends at Precision Board HDU. I met with many good friends in the industry and made some new ones. It was a busy and productive three days on the enormous trade show floor. Now, I head home to help finish a shop full of projects and the almost complete Under Hill project.
Green roof
All of the greenery planted last year on the roof of the Under Hill Suite is filling in nicely as the temperatures warm up. These plants will soon be augmented by additional plants and flowers in the next few weeks, just in time for the open house on June 7th. We will also be finishing up all of the outside paint and doing a full pressure wash and clean. It is a busy time at the Hazelnut Inn!
Main tile laid
The tile in the main room of the Under Hill Suite is all laid, save for the small accent tile under the kitchen counter area and around the stove. The plumber installed the toilet and taps, taking things one step closer to the open house scheduled for June 7. We are getting more excited each day.
