Today, we designed and then fabricated a prototype hanging basket/crow bracket for Kraay’s Family Farm. This process was quick and easy with our Fastcut CNC plasma cutter. Our customer loved the design and quickly replied, ‘Please make twenty!’ Keith will have plenty to do in the next while.
Curved timbers
Matt’s been working hard in the Copper Crown suite of the Hazelnut Inn. He’s been sculpting the massive beams in the upper bedroom tower. By the end of this week, he hopes to be done with the ceiling and starting on the curved walls. That will allow the painting crew to begin their work as he moves to other areas of the gorgeous castle suite. Stay tuned for more pictures soon…
Fourth crow done
The first, more prominent crow that will sit atop the Kraay Family Farm’s new sixty-foot-tall barn is complete. The almost six-tool-long bird is all welded steel and comprises hundreds of CNC plasma cut pieces. This morning, I welded the compass points to the weathervane and then hooked it up to the chain fall to take it off the fabrication stand. As soon as it was out the door, I started welding the precut pieces of a slightly smaller version that would soon sit on the roof of the entry booths. This is the fifth super-sized crow in progress this year, and it is just as fun as the first. Stay tuned for a progress update later this week…
