It was another banner day at the Hazelnut Inn as Peter began the first tile work in the Under Hill Suite bathroom. As is our normal style, the tilework will not be typical or boring. Borders. diagonal tile and panel work will abound. While this isn’t the easy or fast way to lay tile, the results will be both colourful and amazing when we are done. Stay tuned for progress…
Two more sections ready to move out
Our talented painters polished off two more giant sections of the NEB’s wall today. We’ll let the paint fully cure in the warm shop over the weekend, but on Monday morning, they will head out into the parking lot to make room for the last frame, which holds two wall sections. We hope that by the end of next week, we will have all of the wall sections fully sculpted and ready for paint. It has been a busy week!
Sculpting magic
The sculpting crew did up the dormers today, finishing the last detailed sections. From here on, the panels are large but relatively plain, which will allow us to achieve good speed on the balance of the unfinished work. Two more large panels are finished, and the rest of the pieces in the shop are in the final stages of paint and glaze. Out in the Under Hill Suite of the Hazelnut Inn, the blended coats of paint are now complete, and the painting crew will begin the glazing tomorrow. The entire crew are doing amazing work and the results each day are astounding! Stay tuned for more…
