Yarrow yellow

The workshop is getting full of unusually coloured pieces. We have an abundance of a colour called ‘Yarrow’ in stock, which is left over from other projects. The brightly coloured paint makes a great primer and this pass gobbles up a lot of paint. This first pass is the toughest and takes the longest as the painting crew works it into every nook and cranny of the cured concrete. The next two base coats of colour will go on easier and are a whole lot more creative. Stay tuned for the beginning of the magic.

Under Hill paint magic

Becke and Kendra are making great progress on the blend coats in the Under Hill suite of the Hazelnut Inn. It is painstaking and all overhead, making it challenging and time-consuming. But the results are well worth the effort. It won’t be long until they are ready to start the glazing, which will tie it all together perfectly and add the magic we love to do. I can hardly wait to see it all done! Stay tuned…

Sunset show

The weather has been windy and cooler of late, but that is to be expected since it is winter, even here on the west coast. As is often the case when the clouds gather over the land, they frequently provide a canvas for the sun to colour them just before it dips below the horizon beyond the coast. Today’s show was truly spectacular!
