Out in the sunshine!

On Friday we pulled the last few pieces of the Kraay Family Farm project from the shop in preparation for loading. Alyssa was delighted to do the last few bits of paint out in the sunshine. We’ll be loading them later this week and look forward to seeing pictures of them when all of the elements are assembled and placed on the farm. This project has been a whole lot of fun!

Custom crow sign brackets

The best thing about having a FastCut CNC plasma in your shop is that custom metal parts are easy and fast to create. For this project, we needed some sturdy brackets that would hold a sign that would attach to a 4/12 pitch roof. I designed the cutting files for the bracket in a few minutes and then added a cutout version of the Kraay Family Farm crow logo. Cutting the bracket from a 1/4” plate with the CNC plasma was even faster than the design work. Welding the pieces together was quick too. Not all guests will notice the crow but branding is important and for it to be memorable it needs to be repeated endlessly throughout a property.

Instant progress!

NEB’s Fun World is located in Oshawa, Ontario which is three time zones ahead of us here in British Columbia. This means they start their work long before we start our day locally. The NEB’s crew works on the installation of the entry facade before they open for business at 9:00 am. The owner sends me a progress pic each morning as they finish and I get to wake up seeing the ‘instant’ progress they make each day. Our team who laboured so hard for almost seven months on these pieces also enjoys seeing the daily progress. This morning they managed to wrestle six more of the heavy sections into place. I’ll bet their staff and regular customers do a double take as the view inside the entry changes so fast! This facade is dramatically changing the look and feel of NEB’s
