No matter which direction you look in the North Star suite of the Hazelnut Inn the view is getting spectacular! This shot is looking down into the sitting area towards the front door. Notice the first of the ‘jewelry’ accessories hung from the heavy beam above and the ‘antique’ light fixtures on each side of the entrance. We are all ready for the electricians to permanently install the plugs, lights and cover plates. The crew from BNR Electric arrives on Monday! Stay tuned…
Sign paint progress
With the blizzard raging yesterday the crew opted to stay inside the nice warm shop rather than venture through the snow drifts between us and the Hazelnut Inn. Kendra decided it was the perfect day to start laying the colours onto the NEB’s Fun World signs. By day’s end, they were looking pretty cool! Stay tuned for plenty more…
Winter wonderland.
We’ve had a warm winter so far and we were hoping to get by without plowing any snow this year but it wasn’t to be. The weatherman was promising only a couple of inches of the white stuff and we were very surprised to wake up in the middle of an all-out blizzard and six inches of powdery whiteness on the ground. I did a quick first plow before the crew arrived this morning so they had a place to park and could make it back to the shop without high boots. The snow and wind continued through the morning and into the early afternoon, dumping another six inches of snow. Then the sun came out and it was beautiful once again. I did a second plow in the sunshine. We are promised a little more of the white stuff tomorrow afternoon and then it will warm up enough to turn to rain sometime Friday. I am now officially ready for spring!
