It has been like an assembly line for frames of NEB’s Fun World entry building in the shop. With three welders going full blast much progress is made daily. As soon as a piece is fully welded it is pulled from the shop and another is started in its place. Keith is welding up the armature for a chimney in this photo. We are now about halfway through the armatures for this project.
Thanks Grant!
It isn’t often we show the behind-the-scenes work that happens in our shop but many such tasks happen regularly and all are critical to our success. Grant does many of these jobs for us. He works in the office, keeping track of the books and payroll. He runs to town for needed supplies and tools. Grant is also responsible for sourcing and sizing the copious number of towel rags we require for our glazing. He does it all with a big smile!
Down to the bottom!
The painting crew has worked wonders this past week in the North Star suite of the Hazelnut Inn. They have finished all of the higher portions. At quitting time Kendra was down to the details like painting the pretend nails we had sculpted into the boards. We’ll give things a closer look on Monday, do a few touchups, and a final deep clean and then we’ll be ready to start taking down the scaffolds at long last. When they disappear it will be a whole lot easier to get around to do the finishing work. This project is coming together nicely!
