Its that time of year

It is that time of year. Our Christmas tradition is that the youngest kids help decorate our tree. As always, they like to do it in record time. Henry insisted on unfolding and assembling the tree. He’s now old and big enough to pretty much do it on his own, with a little help from grampa. While he did that Juniper was scoping out the decorations with grandma. After the lights were checked out the tinsel garlands were next. Henry raced around the tree multiple times with Juniper and grampa in tow , doing our best to keep things from being totally tangled. Juniper and Henry had picked out six small boxes of handmade ornaments which they then carefully hung on the tree. As they worked we talked about who made each piece. There are almost fifty years of memories on our tree. Then it was time to put the angel on the top… a task done by both kids to keep things totally fair. As quick as that we were ready for Christmas 2023.

Magic on on top of our magic

We are always delighted to work with our clients on projects. We do what we do and then our clients add their skills and talents to make our projects even better. NEB’s Fun World is definitely this kind of partner. We laboured on the features this past year and then gave them a hand to assemble them on-site. Since then they have been working hard to transform these bare features into three wonderful world-class mini golfs. They aren’t content to do things like everyone else and are taking it all to the next level. They are breaking new ground by adding electronic entry systems, automatic ball dispensers, semi-automatic scoring systems and special effects including specialty lighting, sound and smoke effects. They sent us a quick video that shows a small sample of this amazing wizardry which will provide their guests with an unforgettable experience like no other. It is great to work with a partner who can add this kind of magic!

Working smarter, not harder

The sculpting crew worked their magic on the first piece for the new NEB’s Fun World entry wall today and it looks spectacular. This section of the wall is still lying down. While our skilled team can work on sections that are upside down and high it is much easier and quicker this way. Anytime we need to climb a ladder or scaffold it takes a whole lot more time. Tomorrow we can gently lift it into its base into the vertical position with the forklift and then complete the balance of the piece.
