We were delighted to spend the afternoon with Jay Durant and his cameraman from Global News as they videotaped a segment of ‘This is BC’ featuring our shop and current projects. We toured the studio, shop and the Hazelnut Inn with both Peter and me doing interviews. We look forward to viewing the segment on Tuesday or Thursday of next week. Tune in…
One more day
Tomorrow will be the last full day we work on prefabricating the last piece of the Secret Garden Golf which will be bound for Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford. In this shot, Krysia skillfully applies the final blended coat of paint on the troll. Tomorrow, a glaze will come next. It has been a fun project from the start! It won’t be long until we’ll be craning the pieces onto trucks for their ride to the park. Hopefully, the installation will follow soon after that. Stay tuned…
Sculpted details
The crew made great progress today on more of the sculpting inside the North Star suite of the Hazelnut Inn. The bottom portion of the post and wall under the kitchen counter is now complete. This sculpting was detailed and time consuming but turned out fabulous! Like the rest of the inn, things are a little out of kilter (purposely sculpted that way). There’s plenty more than a guest can possibly soak up in one visit, including the three layered sea horse bracket tucked under the counter. Stay tuned for more tomorrow…
