Wishing well sculpted

The Castle Golf wishing well is just the right amount of heavy stone, combined with fine, heavy-timbered woodwork, with a towering shingled roof. It is imposing and yet still graceful at the same moment. It will be the perfect climax to a well-played round of golf. Now that the sculpting is complete we can soon begin the painting that will bring it to life.

A giant stone fishing well

The sculpting crew made great progress on sculpting the stones on the wishing well. The stones turned out fantastic! One more day of sculpting will complete this stage of the project. Next week the painting and glazes will begin. Out in the driveway, we are beginning the process of consolidating the finished features onto giant steel pallets in preparation for shipping to NEB’s in Oshawa, Ontario. I can hardly wait to see all of the pieces assembled on the site very soon. Stay tuned…

Crowning touch!

Krysia expertly applied the last dark glaze to the top tower of the NEB’s castle today. It is a superb addition to the many other already finished pieces waiting out in the driveway. Tomorrow will be a morning of rearranging as we move all of the finished pieces out of the shop and do some major sculpting on the wishing well stonework. One more day of concrete work after that will polish off the sculpting for the NEB’s project. Later this week we’ll begin consolidating the pallets to ensure everything fits snugly into the transport trucks in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned…
