The painting crew continues laying the paint on the wishing well for the Secret Garden Golf. The first coat is now complete with the second well underway. Tomorrow they should finish the second and begin the blended colours. As always, the top portions will be completed first so they can stand on the lower sections if necessary and also so they don’t have to worry about errant drips which are bound to fall from above. It will most likely be next week before this piece is ready to roll out of the shop. Meanwhile, the giant castle bridge is now largely wired and will start to get sculpted tomorrow. Behind that, the Secret Garden mushroom castle structure is coming along nicely. We will start to go vertical tomorrow. Stay tuned…
First colour on the wishing well
Krysia was busy today laying the first paint onto the wishing well. I love how a sculpted piece changes so quickly at this stage. Once the first coat is done the crew will begin a couple of blend coats, followed by a series of glazes which will bring the piece alive. Stay tuned…
Moving day once again
The largest tower base for NEB’s castle is now finished and will be ready to move out of the shop tomorrow along with a few smaller pieces. It is time to reshuffle the remaining pieces and do a shop clean before we start anew once again. Stay tuned for more progress…
