Today, the little truck that doubles as the final mini golf hole and a photo opportunity for our guests was sculpted. The ‘instant’ visual progress was impressive! There’s three pieces to the puzzle, a truck cab and chassis, the box into which golfers will putt and the loading dock ramp which will be the ‘fairway’ for the players. Because everything has to be moved into the facility through a set of regular double doors, the pieces needed to be built and transported separately. Each piece couldn’t measure more than 80” tall nor 70” wide. The pieces also need to be lifted easily and seamlessly bolted back together when we get everything in place. Next week the pieces come alive as they get their paint. Stay tuned…

Concrete day!
It is always an exciting day when we trowel on the fibreglass reinforced concrete and begin sculpting the features for a project. The welded armatures covered in hand tied galvanized lath quickly come to life as we carefully sculpt the shapes and textures into the concrete. On these days we make huge visual progress. Today was an ambitious day and we managed two large gate posts, three light standard bases, half of a hollow log and the ‘wooden’ ramp up to the final hole. Tomorrow we’ll finish the lath on the last three features before doing another sculpted concrete day on Friday.
