The entrance structure for the Copper Crown suite of the Hazelnut Inn is now well underway. We are building it in two sections on account of it being so tall. Behind is the lower section which is eight feet tall. In front is the upper section. The two tower roofs are in place and the centre roof is well underway. It’s the last roof we have to shingle and should be completed tomorrow . Stay tuned…
Night rider
It’s not often we work overtime in the shop but occasionally it is necessary. Today, we were sending off the last of the Loco Landing features to Penticton but the truck was a couple hours late. Peter and I loaded the pieces and tied things down securely as the light faded. Even with the approaching darkness we checked everything twice and then a third time to make sure it all stayed in place during the 200 mile journey. The yard is a bit emptier which makes room for the next batch to come out of the shop.
Winter happy place
Our little tractor is my winter happy place. And having enough snow to have to plow the driveway is the best compensation I know for being cold. (I dislike the cold a LOT!) The good news is that our driveway stretches for more than 400 feet so when it snows I get plenty of tractor time. The weatherman tells me that tomorrow morning I’ll get another crack at it. :)
