Beginning of a fortress wall

When we are finished the Copper Crown castle walls will look like they are built from solid stone but the reality is that they will be hollow -hand sculpted over a sturdy welded armature. Matt has been busy over the last while welding up the frames. It is all coming together quickly on the exterior. The prep work takes the longest and once this is done we’ll do the fibreglass reinforced concrete shell which will change things in a hurry! Stay tuned…

Fanciest roof cap ever!

Our CNC plasma cutter allows us to quickly cut any shape of steel we can imagine. Duplicating a shape is as easy as hitting a button. Things have changed a lot in the last few years. All this means we can easily get fancy as we build components for the Hazelnut Inn and we are taking full advantage of the opportunity! The roof flashing for the Copper Crown is now cut, assembled and fully welded. The grinding is largely done and the painting will be done soon. The result is going to look pretty spectacular once in place!
