Visiting theme parks is something we enjoy regularly and as we do it allows me time too recharge my creative batteries and fill my head with inspiration for future projects. As I roamed around today enjoying the wonderful creations of others I got to thinking about how fortunate I am to do something I enjoy so very much. In our studio no idea is too wild or outlandish. Wacky ideas are actually encouraged. Most often we start as crazy as we dare and then work out from that point. In the process we create wonderful places which others can enjoy. I think it is a calling worthy of the effort. It is absolutely a whole lot more fun than actually working for a living.
Busy day
Greetings from California. We’ve had a busy day here at the ‘happiest place on earth’. Janis & I did manage to find the time to snap one quick selfie just before we crested the hill on the runaway train of Big Thunder Mountain. Then it was back to doing research as the view towards the new Star Wars Land (still under construction) is good from that elevation and angle. Life is good.
The Photographer
Dan and Janis are headed off on a little trip this week. They left early yesterday morning and of course there were a handful of last minute preparations to make before they left. Janis had a number of errands for Dan and Dan willingly accepted each one but somehow he always seemed to get waylaid somewhere along the way. For instance; the bed needed making and (he was on his way to do it) but by the time he made down the hallway little Henry had climbed into his toy car and needed a push and they both ended up in the kitchen. And when it came time to put the bags in the car Dan dutifully rolled the suitcases outside but before he could pop them into the trunk he was magically transported to the property next door and thirty feet in the air! I’m not sure where the suitcases are but I suppose we can always blame the airline if they don’t end up at the baggage claim. :)
