Onto to the last roof

Work has slowed on the Hazelnut Inn during the Christmas holiday but the framing is now substantially complete and the last roof is in progress. By the end of next week it should be dry in all of the suites. Each suite offers a fabulous space with lofty ceilings. We will soon begin the final framing which will define each area which the guests will enjoy. Once that work is complete we’ll let the plumbing, heating and electrical teams finish their work before the insulating is started. Meanwhile our crew will keep busy in the shop prefabricating the themed components. Progress seems to be happening faster all the time!

Photo op

A photo op is a wonderful way to create a memorable experience for our clients’s attractions. Guests absolutely love them. Best of all when they post the images they capture to their social media accounts they promote the attraction in the progress. We’ve been working on some fun new photo opportunity concepts for a new project. This one is particularly dramatic and should work very well. Who wouldn’t want to jump on the vehicle, strike a terrified pose and stage a scene that is believable? The only thing more fun will be to actually build this monster!

First colour

With the New Year just around the corner the pressure is on to finish up my Sign Invitational entry. I applied and sculpted the last large batch of epoxy today leaving only small details undone. We also started painting on the base colours which changes things in a big way.I am looking forward to painting on the secondary colours and then the glazes to add a whole bunch of character to the piece!
