IAAPA EXPO presentation

My IAAPA EXPO teaching session yesterday about ‘The Importance of Storytelling for Smaller Parks’ went extremely well. There were many more attendees present than I anticipated and we received a lot of very positive feedback after the session and all day today on the trade floor at our booth. I appreciate the positive comments and encouragement from those who talked to me! It was an honour to speak of a subject I am so passionate about!

Creative friends the world over

One of the greatest aspects of participating in a large conference is networking. We get to meet so many great people who are so very talented. This year we’ve reconnected with some wonderful folks from around the world who share our passion for this industry. We have become good friends through the years. One of those who looked us up today today was our friend Richard from New Zealand.

Hat Trick

We were delighted and honoured to be awarded a first place Brass Ring Award for the Best Exhibit, Booth Size 200-399 Square Feet. It’s the third year in a row we have garnered this prize at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO. The beautiful trophy is made of glass and is difficult to read in the lighting conditions on the show floor. Because of this the judges graciously helped us place a large decal on the carpet (beside the other two announcements from previous years). We had printed up the decal before the show and had it handy - just in case. :)
