The workshop was a very busy place today. The last of the paying projects were being finished and workshop preparations were in full gear. The name plaques for our guests are in the final stages of the painting and glazing process. It is a long weekend in Canada as we celebrate our Thanksgiving holiday and we have a lot to be thankful for! The shop will be quiet on Monday. Tuesday we’ll go into overdrive as we prepare for our workshop guests. Friday morning we begin the first session and the entire crew is excited to welcome folks from across North America!!
The Avellana
The name scroll for the Avellana was fastened in place today, the last job before it is ready to hoist into place next week. Avellana is of course is Spanish to hazelnut, a subtle nod to the name Hazelnut Inn.
Tower ready to lift
It was a busy day in the shop with many projects underway in many stages of construction. The biggest piece is the Copper Crown castle tower which received the last of it’s sculpted concrete. The entire crew worked on this piece and it looks pretty spectacular! The tower will be lifted into place next Wednesday morning.
