More in ground progress

Work continues on Hazelnut Inn both onsite and in the shop. Onsite, the last of the services are being dug into the ground. Water. sewer, storm water, electrical. communications, irrigation, drainage, water feature plumbing and more. In the shop, the last of the ship structure is being worked on. Our shop parking lot is beginning to fill up with finished features for the inn. We can hardly wait to begin setting them in place!

Speaking gig at IAAPA 2018

I am honoured to have been selected to be a speaker at an education session at the upcoming International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO in Orlando this coming November. The three day conference is the largest of it's kind and attracts more than more than 38,000 attendees from around the world. My topic for the session, one I am passionate about, is how smaller regional theme parks can implement effective visual storytelling at their attractions. In the process they can entertain and delight their guests and create lifelong memories. I am excited about this wonderful opportunity to share our experience with park owners far and wide.

Underground progress

All of the physical progress we have made to date on the Hazelnut Inn project will soon be buried and out of sight. Engineered fill, pipes and conduits, footings forms, rebar, piping and drain pit, catch basins, septic tanks, and as of today a septic field have been completed. A lot of money has been spent on soon to be invisible improvements. All of this necessary work is thankfully almost complete allowing the vertical work to begin next. We, along with many sidewalk superintendents can hardly wait!!
