I was delighted to spend some time with Phoebe at Loco Landing in Penticton. We are in the area doing some research for a Phoebe project but took the time to also take a look at the work we did earlier this year for our friends at Loco Landing Adventure Park. Everything looks fabulous as they did a first rate job of installing the features we built for them! I return to the park tomorrow morning to start the planning for next year's exciting additions. It's going to be a whole lot of fun!
YELLOW!
If you were to ask Juniper, my youngest grand daughter, what her favourite colour is she would quickly answer YELLOW. She would then go on to explain that her grampa loves yellow too and his Jeep is yellow. So when we were picking a colour for the little Jeep it simply had to be yellow. With the Yarrow Days parade now only a week away the painting could be put off no longer. Juniper will ride in the Jeep with her dad and grampa next Saturday!
It's a ship!
We finished welding the complex and detailed structure of the ship hull today. There were a whole lot of custom metered pieces! Jeff did a great job of that! That meant we could move on to the fun part - the actual curved hull. Peter cut and bent the steel while I welded it on as fast as I could. By quitting time the outline of the curved hull was easily visible. This is a very large piece! With the hull now bulked out we can move on to the detail tomorrow. Stay tuned...
