I am often asked to give interviews in regard to our creative work. Today I did two. One interview, by phone, was to a sign magazine from the USA. The other, my favourite, was to a first grader who was doing research on a local business for a school assignment. Scarlett (with two 'T's) was delightful. We did a shop tour and Scarlett was especially impressed by our two robotic machines. Then we went up to our office and this area was definitely her favourite. She asked me the six questions she had prepared and a few more too. She took a business card and a print of our current project for show and tell. Thanks for visiting today!
Still have the view
As I looked out from our back porch today the view took my breath away. I was reminded of the first time I visited our property - about this same time of the year. Two things really appealed to me then. The sound of the wooden screen door slamming against the door jamb reminded me of visiting my grandma's house as a kid. The view from the porch that day was absolutely stunning as well. We bought the property a few months later from my friend. Now, fifteen years later, the wooden screen door is long gone, along with that old house that stood there then. The workshop has been added and the grounds have been changed dramatically but the mountain view is as spectacular as ever!
In the weeds
'In the weeds' is an expression used to describe a hot rod that is really low to the round. Our little red truck qualifies nicely. It is now parked in the center of the shop flower bed. It adds a nice splash of colour and with some bright flowers planted in the bed in a few weeks will add even more soon.
