Today was obelisk day in the shop. The mostly toppled, Egyptian relic will be placed in the explorer's garden (North Star suite) of the Hazelnut Inn. It will serve double duty as an ancient artifact and a bench. Photographs of real obelisks served as a guiding reference as we carved. But guests who are really observant will find the story of Hazelnut Inn hidden in a few of the symbols - just for fun! :) As we carved the symbols this afternoon I read and translated each symbol for the crew... I suspect that they didn't believe my 'true' version of events... but we laughed a lot!
Hazelnut Inn scale model complete
Becke and Jenessa put the final details to the Hazelnut Inn scale model. It's a real beauty! The model will be a great reference as we build the inn! While the model was a lot of fun to construct the real thing will be much more so!
Atlantis stone
The shop is quickly filling up once again as we sculpt the first features for the Hazelnut Inn. Today the crew sculpted the gigantic Atlantis stone, one of many awesome artifacts which will be displayed in the garden of the North Star suite.
