Time to set sail

After more than four years of designing, building, consulting and on-site work our hands-on involvement in the Trinidad project is officially done. We set sail back home tonight. It has been a most wonderful and excellent adventure! In the process we have made many great friends! I look forward to coming back for the grand opening and seeing all of the final details in place!

Hidden treasure

On this, the last working trip to Trinidad we placed the very last features in place inside the train tunnel. They still have some painting, special lighting and final set dressing to do but the treasure we built is in it hiding place for guests who ride the train to discover. Today we finished the last of the touchups on the hundreds of features and signs we built in our studio. The next trip will be for the grand opening sometime very soon.

Finished three times over.

Things are going well in Trinidad at Skallywag Bay Adventure Park. We are getting in lots of practice between the all too frequent downpours of this week. We finished this wall lettering three times, only to be followed by a sudden downpour. It would take off some of what we did and run it down the wall each time. We'd paint it again and have time to stand back and admire it before another storm raced over the mountain and drench us once more. The third time we got lucky and the rain held off long enough for the paint to dry thoroughly. The brightly coloured lettering is about six feet tall.
