I look forward to each opportunity I get to add a little more to the little rail truck. There is still quite a few bits to add. Today I managed to cut and weld up all of the pieces for the cow catcher. All those crazy angles were tricky!
Working from the top down
It was just Jeff and I in the shop today but we made great progress on the sculpted concrete on Dayna's tree. We work from the top down which makes the process easier. One more day should allow us to finish the sculpting of the tree.
Good on all sides
Today we applied and sculpted the first concrete onto Dayna's tree. As we worked I thought about the 'show side' which generally gets a little more attention and detail. But this project, like many of the things we build has no 'show side'. It looks just as good - no matter what side it is viewed. This is one of the things that makes our projects so much fun for our crew - no matter which side we get to work on.
