Panorama photographs taken inside a building are most often badly distorted and this is certainly no exception but it truly does give a good perspective of the scale of the project. The theme work stretches well over four hundred feet in length, down each side of the walls and cross the back of the fifty-two bowling lanes. This shot shows one of the posts being jacked into position. The next phase of the project will happen directly behind us as we view this picture and the theme work will span an equal distance. When that is done this environment will be truly complete. Then we will move on to a whole other larger building to create even more fun and magic. Just imagine...
Turning the page
Our part in NEB's bowling alley project is now complete. We've done the touchup to our pieces and the finishing of the end walls. The signs are now all in place on this phase of the project. But the work there is still ongoing. The ceiling panels are yet to be installed as are a few posts. The NEB's crew are also adding some very dramatic and exciting lighting effects which will take the project over the top and make it truly one of a kind. Even though this phase is complete for us we are far from done. Today was spent dreaming up brand new adventures which we will be designing and building in the coming months. This is going to be a whole lot of fun! Stay tuned...
Vision fulfilled!
About a year ago we did the first concept renderings for the NEB's bowling center. One of the concepts done by Peter was a perspective drawing of one corner of the bowling lanes, It was a quick sketch, done on his iPad to illustrate how all of the elements would look when they were assembled. Today I took a picture from roughly the same angle. The ceiling panels have yet to be installed along with the special lighting. The second concept was one I did of a front view of the alleys. A few things changed as we went through the design and build process but that first vision is very much achieved!
