Modular homes aren't known for their distinctiveness. Many friends have wondered aloud how we will make Becke's new home fit into the unique landscape of our property. We're not worried and that process has now begun. Today we installed the framework for her new front stairs. It features a curved staircase. Soon it will have rock work on both sides and log posts - all sculpted from concrete as is our style. The landing and steps will be poured with coloured concrete to match the generous ground level deck. This is but the beginning of the theme work of course.
Outhouse wood sculpted
The crew spent the bulk of the day sculpting the boards on the upper portion of one of the outhouses we are building. The style of the woodgrain had to match the work we had done in years past and so the crew learned this 'new to them' method. It turned out pretty cool. Tomorrow we will tackle the second building.
First pictures of completed Dubai project
We were delighted to hear of the opening of the How To Train Your Dragon area at the MotionGate Park in Dubai a few days ago. All reports I've heard are positive, as they should be, for this entire area is truly spectacular! I was searching online today and came across the first pictures I've seen of the finished area. The pictures were taken by David Arnold, www.MEthemeparks.com and used here with his kind permission. Imagination Corporation built the two Viking ships and two target sculptures. All of the work around the ships was done by other companies.
