We are still very busy working in our shop on the last truckload of pieces for NEBs Fun World bowling alley. While we finish up here our client and their team are busy installing the previous loads of features. Some elements, like the scenic flats (Trees, hills, bushes and grass profiles) were built there. We provided the routing files. Now all of the pieces are being assembled and it looks to be the coolest bowling alley ever - just as we imagined it would be! Our client is very technically savvy and has created custom programming and themes on the lane scoreboards which operate on an iPad by each lane.
Gearing up production
It's been a while since we've made a sign outside of the theme park world. Our local MultiCam dearer is opening a new office and needed a sign for their reception lobby. I had designed this concept about two years ago and believed the project dead. But, good ideas never go away and it was instead time to make the real thing. Once the file was built the bulk of the cutting was done on MultiCam CNC router. Once I had the pieces in hand I glued them up and applied a surface texture by hand. The sign measures about six feet wide. Painting begins on Monday.
Better photos of Playland features (with sunshine)
I was at Playland today delivering a few more decorative fence panels. The sun was shining which allowed me to take some better pictures of the features we created for the rides. Next week the park opens to guests for the season and they will get the first peek at the new rides.
