Today was the TEDx event day in Chilliwack. I attended three of the talks and got to see our stage lettering setup. It provided a professional image to the event. I talked with one of the organizers of the event and he thanked me for our participation. He also commented that the lettering project was most likely 'the most ordinary thing we have ever created'. While the dimensional lettering set up which we had provided was perfectly fitting for the venue, my friend was absolutely right. It was the plainest project we have ever done.
Two installed and going well.
We were very pleased to receive word (and a picture) of the first installation of the NEBs Bowling Alley lane decor. The installation of the pieces by our client is a challenging one for they are doing it two lanes at a time while the rest of the bowling centre remains operational. They are lifting the heavy pieces using two drywall lifts. The challenge was to prefabricate the pieces in our shop, 4,400 kilometres from our client. We built the pieces to the measurements provided by our client. The good news... everything fits perfectly so far!
More colour
As the various colours of paint and glazes go onto the Bug Whirled pieces they are looking more exciting all the time. The accent colours are yet to come and they will make it all pop I'm sure. It won't be long until these pieces are done. Next Thursday they will be lifted onto the truck to head down the road.
