With a fun Christmas behind us I had a chance to sneak out to the shop for a little while to design the cutting files for the sheet metal base. The routed pieces had been glued up just before we broke for the holidays and they look pretty good. A little sanding and they will be ready for the sculpting process. The loading of the steel took longer than the cutting. A CNC plasma table is an awesome thing! Tomorrow I'll do a little grinding and then the assembly will begin. Stay tuned...
Moving on
After all of our Christmas guests went home this evening I was browsing old photos on my computer. I came across this one which was kind of a winter image but taken in the middle of summer. Our customer had moved their business down the street and I got the call to help move the polar bear we had created for them as their award winning sign. As I looked at the image I was reminded of what a great job I have. Every day it seems is this fun, challenging and interesting. The polar bear moved without incident.
Merry Christmas!
The shop is quiet for the next few days as we celebrate the Christmas holiday with an abundance of family. Our house will be full and joyful. And the food will be plentiful and delicious.
We wish the same for all of you!
