Setting sail

Peter, Becke and I are busy today packing our suitcases and briefcases with everything we need for a week away. We leave early, early tomorrow morning and arrive in Florida in the evening. It is all in preparation for the biggest trade show in the world that caters to the theme park industry. We've attended the massive show many times through the years but always as an observer rather than a participant. This year will be our first as an exhibitor. Over the last year we've been busy designing and fabricating our show booth and stocking it full of all manners of eye candy. We've made links with potential clients and invited them to visit us at the show. Our place on the floor is but a tiny 100 square feet out of the 550,000 square feet of the show. To see it all one needs to walk more than nine miles of aisles.

Five day challenge

Peter, Rebecca and I head down to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO this weekend. We'll be gone a week as we showcase our work to a crowd of more than 20,000 attendees from around the world. We are looking forward to it with great anticipation. While we are gone we wanted to leave plenty of work for our crew. Over the last weeks we have been assembling and sculpting fourteen archways, numerous posts and beams for the bowling alley project. Yesterday, we pulled the pieces all back into the shop. The crew will paint them in our absence. Their monumental challenge is to get them done before our return. They made good progress today but are off tomorrow for Remembrance Day. That leaves them only five days. The challenge is on!

IAAPA Attractions Expo

The IAAPA Attractions Expo is now less than a week away and we are excitedly finishing our final preparations. Up in the office we are putting the finishing touches on our 'brag books' and presentations. Meanwhile, the shop is full of NEB's archways waiting to be painted - Jenessa and the rest of the crew will work their magic while we are away in Florida.

We are looking forward to meeting lots of our online friends in person - many for the first time. So if you happen to be in Florida for the show next week make a point of stopping in to see us - we will be happy to give you the 'nickel tour' of the Imagination Corporation.
