First sculpting for NEBs bowling lanes

The crew applied the concrete and sculpted the first prototype pieces for NEB's Fun World bowling centre today. In the last few years we have perfected our unique approach of building modules, enabling us easy transport and seamless and quick assembly on site - no matter how far flung our projects might be. The archways, posts and beams are designed to quickly assemble on site meaning our client won't have to shut any lanes down during construction. In the next week we'll finish the painting of these first pieces which will set the tone and style of the many yet to come.

A rainbow of colour

With the base coats of paint applied and dry it was time for a little colour on the signs. Becke fetched the paint off the shelves, no less than ten buckets of brightly coloured paint. She then began to brush on the paint blending wet into wet. The troll and mushroom figures are painted first. We'll then start in on the glazes to bring the characters alive. Then the rest of the sign will get it's final coats of colours before it too get its final glaze. Some 23K gold leaf on the lettering will take the signs over the top.
