After three long and exciting days of workshop the student's projects were all looking pretty fine. We gave them small tips as needed but mostly just encouragement. Each attendee had received the same instructions and supplies. The challenge? Design and build a detailed dino or dragon head (or some other creature) in the time allotted. But along with this they would be kept busy with lectures, field trips, other large and small projects, many wonderful meals and visiting with the other students. A very good time was had by all! The sun is shining brightly and it is the perfect day for a tour of some of our local projects. Then it was back to the shop to work on the many projects under way. We paused before we went back inside long enough for a quick group shot. What a ride it's been!
Great energy!
Each workshop we have hosted over the last ten years is shaped largely by those who attend. Each one has been very different. This Sculpting Magic Workshop is high energy and great fun. Many of those in attendance are skilled and experienced. All are ever to learn and share what they know. It is a fun and high energy event. When I came out of the house this morning at 7:30 am some were already parked in the driveway waiting for me to open the door. Almost sixteen hours later we gently coaxed them out the door to have a little rest before we start it all again tomorrow morning. Most of the workshops have been like that and all were so very special!
