BOOKS!
I've heard some say that printed books are obsolete. It's certainly not true for me. While I do read the occasional book on my iPad and also surf the web for information, my go to source of info is my own personal library. I've been avidly collecting books for more than forty years. My favourite books are about theme parks, the 'making of' movies and signs with many other subjects covered as well. New titles are continuously added and I try to read them (again and again) on a regular basis. The writing inscribed above the books is Latin and roughly translates to 'Books contain knowledge.
Anger management
Today work began in earnest on the features for the Viking project. Peter was busy creating and cutting files on the plasma cutter. Jack was welding the pieces together as fast as Peter could produce them. Matt was cutting pipe and grinding the finished assemblies. At one point I heard Jack call out to Matt questioning whether he was angry. Matt was baffled at the question until Jack answered…. ‘If you’re angry I have an axe for you to grind!’
