Just for laughs

The internet has changed many things in profound ways. It allows the sharing of ideas and images instantly around the world. I was recently contacted by Emily from Brisbane, Australia. She's a stand-up comedian and asked me for the one time use of an image I had posted to our blog some years ago. She understood I held the copy write and that she needed permission to use it which unfortunately is rare these days. The image was the concept art for the town crier which I had designed for a sign at the Fox and Hounds Pub. I granted permission for the single use and sent her the high resolution file. Today, she kindly sent me a file of the poster she had created. If you happen to be in Brisbane on November 20 check them out.  :)

Nice and Gnarly

In our shop we are always trying to push the boundaries of the things we do, explore new techniques and grow. We especially go there on the samples we create. Matt has brought in some great samples of gnarly wood from his travels. We asked him to weld up an intricate frame and then carve the best and gnarliest wood he has ever done, using that piece of wood he brought as inspiration. Today was the day for the beginning of the concrete work. It is very cool! Awesome Matt!
