Today, I splashed the base colours on the crab submersible model. I decided the undersides needed to be a nice golden colour and the tops a deep red. The water based metallic paints we use blend perfectly without getting muddy. I'll let it dry overnight and then go in with some glazes. By tomorrow evening it should look pretty cool. Stay tuned...
Juniper Ann Joy
Today we were pleased to welcome Peter and Hailey’s daughter, Juniper Ann Joy. She’s only five pounds and twelve ounces but has already stolen everyone’s heart . Hailey and baby are fine. Peter will recover soon enough.
As with Phoebe I am resolved not to spoil little Juniper. Ever. But spoiling needs to be properly defined. If I were to give in to every request that would definitely be spoiling. If I can think of it first that is perfectly OK. Now I can have twice as much fun! - grampa dan
It's a monster mash!
Today, between what felt like a hundred other things I managed to polish off the crab submarine sculpt. There's a couple more small details to add and then we are on to paint. I think the full size version is going to be a hit with kids. Who wouldn't want to climb behind the controls of such a rig!
