After the busy and long days of the workshop I needed to lay low for a couple. The shop is now clean from one end to the other and everything readied to get into production once more. Tomorrow we hit the ground running once more.
Imagine the possibilities!
When we installed our MultiCam CNC plasma cutter last week we weren't sure exactly what we would do with it. We just knew the things that are now possible in our shop will be cool and unlimited in scope. It was the same with the MultiCam CNC router ten years ago. Today Peter designed the brackets for the gutters they will install on their house. The first prototype was cut on the plasma cutter this morning. Cutting it from a sheet of 3/16" thick steel took less than a minute and welding it together only a minute more. The result is charming and will add a stunning detail to the house!
What a ride!
I sit exhausted but very happy. Another Sculpting Magic Workshop is now history. What a group it was! For forty-eight hours over four days we visited, welded, wired, mixed mud, carved, sculpted painted and shared tips and stories. All of it was done in a spirit of friendship and passion for our craft. I speak for our entire family and crew when I say it was a delight from beginning to end. Janis and the crew did a fabulous job providing meals and fresh home baking throughout the three long days. Lifelong friendships were formed, and the beginnings of some fabulous future projects were born. I look forward to hearing from these wonderful folks in the future!
