To help market the Trinidad project our client asked us to create a short video of the work we are doing and the thought process behind it. We didn't want the video to reveal all of the the secrets but we wanted to let people know about the characters of this magical place.
Playing in the shop on the weekend
Weekends are for playing. With the new Jeep on the way this week I've been busy in the shop building accessories. Cutting steel, welding and grinding parts for the Jeep is actually a lot like the work we do all week in the shop. It is just as much fun too. The parts don't look like much now but they will look cool on the jeep! The parts include new bumpers, tube doors and some sliders. The brand new Jeep won't be stock for very long... :)
Mixing it up
The last big project for Skallywag Bay is the train. We are partnering with some great folks in California who are building the chassis. The crew at Hillcrest are precise and very technical, as required to build a chassis that will be durable and operate safely. Our job is to make it look like a pirate train. It is a wonderful mix of two very different disciplines.
