A magical wedding

One of the greatest things about hosting a wedding in your backyard is that the memories remain and each time I cruise the lawn on our garden tractor in coming years it will bring a smile to my face. Peter and Hailey's wedding was a great event, truly magical in every way imaginable. A good time was had by all.

The ceremony was held in the welcome shade of our giant walnut tree back towards the shop. Peter and Hailey's personal (and original) vows reminded us all of what true love means.

The reception was held immediately following the ceremony on the lawn just off the back patio. The new concrete deck made for a great dance floor when the music and celebrations began.

We enthusiastically welcome Hailey into our family and look forward to the wonderful new adventure that has now officially begun.

Last of the big things

With Peter and Hailey's wedding now only two days away and it being the last day of a full work crew we concentrated on the last of the big things needed to welcome guests to the wedding. The posts on the patio deck got their final trim and then the Ashley and Sarah set to work filling the holes and then applying the coats of paint and glazes.

The gate post tree also got the paint treatment today.

Now we are down to the last of the little things. Then we celebrate.
