Bucky makes his debut

As the workshops rapidly approach the pace quickens around the shop. With so much work currently on our plate we are trying to stay in production as long as possible. That means until the morning coffee break tomorrow we will do shop work. After coffee we'll switch gears and do cleanup and workshop preparations. Four hours later everything should be set up and our first guests arriving. It's going to be a fun challenge.

Today, plenty was accomplished in the shop and around the yard as preparations for the workshops and paying work continue at the same time. This afternoon Sarah, Hailey and I sculpted the first side and began work on the second side of the Bucky's Bumper Boat sign. Tomorrow morning we'll finish the sculpting and ready the sign for paint.

Tomorrow the last glaze goes on the horse and then he moseys out the door to make room for the next.

Stay tuned for even more tomorrow...

A very busy place!

It was another busy day in the shop. Production continues on the welding up of the fence post structures. After the welding comes the wire lath with the sculpted concrete to follow soon. The ldies have been busy painting up the horse and it is starting to look a lot more colorful and lifelike.

I kept busy keeping the router going and welding up and assembling the Bucky Beaver's sign. The post of the sign will be almost be chewed trhough and it will be leaning precariously over the bumper boat pool.

Work also continues to get ready for the guests who arrive for the Sign Magic Workshop in only two more days.

Busy best describes our shop these days!

Eight second rides

We love to have fun at work. My feeling is that if we can't have fun doing what we do it is time to find another occupation. One way to have fun is to test drive our creations. The horse was too tempting to resist. Chris, our client, was one of the first to go for a ride. We just happened to have a cowboy hard hat handy.

With a little encouragement Chris really got into it.

Chris wasn't the only one to give the nag a spin. Peter had a little fun too.

It turns out that Sarah has been hiding a secret talent. Little did we know she is a trick rider.

I suspect there will be a bunch more test drives before the horse goes up to the lake. No matter how many funny pictures we may take it will be but the beginning of endless rides for the guests of the park.
