Almost there

Today, Hailey and Bec were kept busy mixing sculpt for me as I applied it to the balance of the truck body. Sculpting with epoxy, as anyone who has done it will tell you is hard, physical work. The detail we are able to achieve makes the effort worhtwhile.

Matt and I did more welding on the box and installed the tailgate as well. save to the hydraulic attach point and a tailgate latch, that part of the project is complete. We will sculpt the seat back tomorrow to make the project ready for paint.

Pedal to the metal

Today was a very busy day on all fronts. The truck body panels continued to get their final layers of sculpting epoxy. Matt welded a bunch more on the truck frame and box. 

Bec and I accomplished a fender sculpt before supper. This evening Hailey came in for a couple of hours and helped out as well. We managed to finish the grill and one door before we were done. 

We may yet meet the quickly approaching deadline. :)

Take a little off the top.

Work continues on the truck, both sculpting on the body and also fabrication and welding on the box. I had tacked everything in place previously. Matt did all the final welding and grinding to make things nice and smooth.

We have a few more pieces to weld on the box and frame as well as the tailgate to build. Sculpting on the body will continue tomorrow.
