No straight lines here

The crew continues work on the welded steel fence. There's an easy way and a hard way to do just about everything. This is the hard way for this task. The rails of the fence undulate up and down. This means the long pieces of square tubing are put through the hydraulic bender to un-straighten them in a hurry. Here Sarah holds the tubing while Peter operates the controls and feeds the machine.

Since the top and bottom rails of the fence are not parallel to each other every vertical rod has to be carefully measured and custom cut to length before being welded into place. We are doing just over a hundred lineal feet of fence in total.

While it is a lot of work, it also looks very cool, well worth the effort! Stay tuned for more developents...

VROOM!

It isn't too often I get to revisit a fun project by trying to rachet up the fun one more notch. One of our favorite clients who owns a gravel pit asked us to build him a scaled down dump truck. It was to be used as a promotional vehicle. It features lights and an air horn that worked. It also sported working hydraulics that raised and lowered the dump box. It was great fun!

Now he needs a second truck. This time around, five years later we can do an even better job I'm sure. We'll take all we learned last time and since and ramp things up as high as we can.

This is going to be fun!

A star is born

This past week Bec and Pipsqueal Paddocks were featured in our local paper. www.chilliwacktimes.com

The good news spread quickly and today the folks from BCTV were here to do a story. Our new baby Sky Wishes was of course the center of attention in both the newspaper and TV stories.

Sky Wishes and her momma were loaded in the trailer after the shoot was over so they could be transported to their new family who were anxiously waiting their arrival.

We are very proud of the work Bec, Janis & the many volunteers do for these little horses in need. Now the world knows too.
