Made in the shade!

Today it was misting as I drove into town to work on the mural. I had a leisurely breakfast with my friends and then headed to the wall as the clouds finally began to break. Everyone was so eager to paint there was no shortage of volunteers. At one point I counted 21 people with brushes in their hand slinging paint on the wall.

I didn't dare take a break save for a quick bite today... after the wet weather of the last few days. By dark the mural was largely done, except for some detail along the bottom. Considering we had painted every square inch of the wall anew today, after some of it had washed off during the rain yesterday we did awesome!

Another couple of hours again tomorrow will take care of business.

Puddle jumping!

I had a great day visiting many of my friends. As far as the weather goes... it was a great day for ducks. It did manage to stop raining for a couple of hours and we made the best of it. Ay one point we had 17 people up on the wall painting. I didn't want to risk anything detailed but got the border done in good time. Tomorrow promises to be better.

We had lots of visitors, curious about what we were doing. One delightful guest was this little lady who made the best of the circumstances! She made my day!

Painting in Wisconsin

Two days ago I flew into Chicago, Illinois for a mural project in Plymouth, Wisconsin. The mural I am leading is one of twenty one murals to be painted over the next three days. One hundred and seventy artists have come from across the USA, Canada and beyond to do the project. It will be my one hundred and nineteenth mural.

We laid out the mural last night. getting a good handle on the project, right off the bat. This morning , very tired after my long trip, I overslept my alarm. But as I looked out the window the soft falling rain made it a moot point. It didn't matter. I'll spend the morning visiting with my many friends, waiting for the skies to clear. Then we'll paint long into the day and evening to make up for lost time.

Stay tuned for progress pics over the next few days...
