Going green

Today it was time for some color on the Laughing Tortoise Beer sign.  I painted the base colors first.

Then I layered on a series of glazes, gradually building up the color of the piece. I allowed it to dry in between coats.

With all the colored layers in place it was time for one last dark glaze to tie everything together... and then the last was the gold on the letters.

Now it is on to the next - already in progress.

Not a straight line in sight

About three weeks ago I did the concepts for the Fox & Hound's Pub. With the blessings of the owners I let my imagination loose... drawing from the heart. It was with pure joy Debbie & Jeff accepted every idea I brought them. Now as we are two weeks into the project those rather vague ideas, illustrated in only a few drawings, are coming to life. Each day we sculpt a few more square feet, bringing those visions to reality.

Today after we cleaned up I went back to take a few pictures. It made me laugh out loud to see magic we had already created. I am truly grateful for wonderful clients who trust us to create a magical place, fulfilling both their and our vision in the process. THANKS!
