We are often asked how the Hazelnut Inn is progressing and the answer is things are coming along, slow and steady. With the exterior largely complete our work is happening unseen for the most part. We are at the stage where we need to have the trades do their specialized tasks. The first up was our friends at Element Spray Foam to finish the insulating of the North Star suite. That meant our crew needed to tie up many loose ends, making sure all the blocking was in, along with the electrical boxes and conduits. A major clean and sort of the space was needed as well to ensure the spray crew had all of the access they needed. The Element crew painstakingly taped off everything that was not to be sprayed and then did a fabulous job filling the remaining cavities with the foam. They spent a second day cleaning up the overspray and taking down all of the masking. It is wonderful to have trades that take [ride in their work! We are now ready for the sprinkler crew, the plumber, and the air-conditioning crew to work their magic before we can proceed with the last of the theme work. As everyone knows, it is a game of patience these days while we wait for the trades and their needed supplies to be available to work on this project.
