For the first time since we moved to Yarrow more than a decade ago the front area around our sign is finished. Through the years as our various signs have been shuffled around and the grades adjusted because of the house construction meaning the landscaping around the sign has always been temporary. Each time we finished our work I threw down some grass seed but the weeds always were dominant. Moving the area regularly made it look passible but I always knew we would eventually plant a nice manicured lawn with some proper landscaping. Like everything in life it simply had to wait until the time was right.

Today at last the last of the turf was laid around our sign and in the area between it and the house. There is still some work to do on the other side of the driveway and on the east side of the front yard but the sign at last looks great with the fresh green.

Tomorrow Becke will source the last of the flowers and shrubs for the flower bed behind the sign. I can hardly wait to see it done.
